"When was it said that a man cannot criticize the shape of a house, except he is first, an Architect?". Shamelessly WE THE PEOPLE are at it again, some have consistently elected partisanship over our collective welfare and well-being.
Some have chosen to repudiate anything that challenges the present order, to them it just doesn't matter what the Holy Book says to the contrary.
We have read about two protests scheduled for the 5th and 9th of February 2017. The first supported by innocent Ujah Idibia "Tu- Baba" and the second by a coalition of Civil Society Groups, both targeted at addressing the present socio-economic malady, and challenging Govt to address the problem to hunger, national security with strong action against the marauding Herdsmen, having dished more human barbecues in the past 15months than Boko Haram, and to urge and nudge Govt towards an anti-corruption regime that has no sacred cows.
Now we ask, where has Tuface and the others go wrong? why are some branding him an Agent of Sen Akpabio and the PDP? Is an intended protest against hunger and want, anti people? what has become of us? that we so gleefully politicize every step that seeks to put this Govt in check? why have we elected the dance of macabre over deep intellectual rendezvous? Why?
Few days ago, minister Lai Mohammed accused the BRING BACK OUR GIRLS GROUP of transforming into an opposition group. Today, exercising the right of protest is challenged and repudiated by the same people whose path to power was protests.
We the ORDINARY PEOPLE must see through this chicanery, and weave an END GAME.
