WE THE PEOPLE, THE GAME, THE GAMBLER AND THE ENDGAME PART V.

The more it changes, the more it's the same things. Jean Baptist Alphonse Karr. We erred when we thought that real CHANGE would come from the club of gamers and gamblers that ran Nigeria aground.

We were so disenchanted with the past, that for CHANGE we chose one from the past who appeared different, spoke differently and carried himself like one of us.

Today something looks awkward, the CHANGE we preached appears distant, the game is rather getting curious and curious.

We should not get this twisted, we love PMB, we still do, but something just doesn't jell with his presidency.  On the one hand we say we are fighting corruption, on the other the presidency hurries in defense of an SGF that has huge allegations of financial malfeasance hanging over him.

Judges are raided and suspended on allegations, members of other parties are detained on allegations, but when it has to do with Mr president's men, the fair-hearing mantra comes in handy and fact finding committees are set up, sacred cows go scot-free, and things remain the same. The game goes on.

PMB is on vacation in the UK, not forgetting that he would undergo some routine medical checks, as his spokes person put it. It means or suggests that our Dear president is' under the weather'. When rumours of his passing came to the fore, rather than politely attend it, we got lessons on poor spokeman-ship from spokes persons of Mr president and from partisans.

Who do they think wants Mr president dead? why threaten the rumour mongers? And why also declare that no one can compel Mr president to speak to Nigerians about his health?

Only when we insist on the ENDGAME can those who speak for Govt understand that power belongs to the ORDINARY PEOPLE and no one threatens them.

RPI......Rethink, Rebirth, Rebuild.
