"A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way". John C Maxwell. We have followed the arguments trailing PMB's third medical trip, and second vacation in one year and cannot but add our voice to the debate.
Firstly, if CHANGE begins with me, and we must buy Naija, think Naija and grow Naija, then PMB ot it wrong. Why couldn't Mr. president go to Obudu in Cross River, to Yankari in Bauchi, to Ikogosi in Ekiti or to the quiet of Oboshi in Ibusa, Delta State for rest/vacation?
Secondly,.... He will also use the opportunity to undergo some routine medical check! here again our president got it wrong, with the billions budgeted in 2015 & 2016 for ASO ROCK clinic, more monies than almost all the University Teaching Hospitals put together, we think that is about time PMB practices his preachment.
Thirdly, we ask for the umpteeth time, who will save our Dear president from himself, and who will save APC from constant policy summersaults and contraditions? How can a president who warned his Ministers and Tear against seeking medical Help overseas continue to flout same?
WE THE PEOPLE are the constant victims of successive administrations who mouth what they do not mean, who preach messages they do not believe, and Nigeria appears a game to the Gamers and Gamblers who superintend her. But we can redefine the rules, and put this game to an end.
To those who defend the slap on CHANGE that this trip epitomizes, we have those words, now is the time to rise above partisanship and make patriotism to nation our trust. Now is the time to make COUNTRY FIRST our testament. And now is the time to insist on exemplary leadership, only that way can we end this GAME!!!.
