If the Niger Delta was given it's own fair share of the revenues derived from oil extract in the region, do you think it would have been enough to turn the region into one of the most developed araea of the Country, enough to outshine Lagos/Abuja and even compare to the Cities in the Emirates?
The answer is No! Even if they were given 70%, the very greedy leaders will pocket it. The 6 years of the ljaw Hero (GEJ) was like 6 seconds. Again the mindest has to change. The cream of politicians in Niger Delta have polluted the youth.
God should bring wisdom and peace to the region. With the mindest of most Niger Delta's leaders even 100% will not change anything. Even if they become lndependent, won't their story not go the .Southern Sudan way.
The region is messed up, no matter how much is poured into it. Most of the people there like fast cash without labour of truth, no one knows what really happen. We can only postuate.
But, Social Justice and equity must be the mantra in dealing with all segments of Nigeria by the others, and by the Federal Government too.
