In the history of mankind, all leaders are criticised all over the world. Mallam Sanusi Lamido and a few other northern elites criticise PMB, And no Northerner attack them or abuse them for doing so or speaking up.
Leaders like Gen YAKUBU GOWON, IBB, ALH. SHEHU SHAGARI, GEN ABACHA etc are still being criticised till date and no one from the north has called for war.
During the days of Chief Obasanjo, his highest critics were people from the southwest region and even till date they still criticise him. Even though the performed creditably better than GEJ.
But anytime GEJ's name was mentioned , some people from south- east and south- south will jump out and begin to attack and accuse his critics in all sorts. When Emir Sanusi spoke out against GEJ for doing wrongly, the same people came out and accused him of being Boko Haram sponsor.
Some even said he was funding APC. Do they want to preclude him from our history??? Is GEJ more important than the development of Nigeria??? If the elites from south- south and south- east had spoken up when GEJ was derailing, he wouldn't have failed the way he did.
But they all kept quiet and even attacked people who spoke out and even threatened to kill some. Today, the results are in our faces and they still chose to be living in denial. We saw OBJ when he openly disgraced TAFA BALOGUN for corruption, no Yoruba person took it personal.
He incarcerated Al- Mustapha for many years, no Hausa person took it personal. President Yar'adua jailed Bode George for corruption, no Yoruba person took it personal. PMB has Dasuki, and El- Zakzaky in custody since last year, no northerner has taken it personal, he has probed FFK, Gov FAYOSE etc no yoruba person has taken it personal.
But the moment Olisa Metu was arrested, Our people jumped out and begin to embarrass our region. Anytime GEJ's name us mentioned, some people will jump up and begin to attack people. For God's sake GEJ was not a village chief.
He was the former president of FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA and all Nigerians have the right to speak about him any- day, anytime. Should people become afraid to speak because they feel GEJ is more important than Nigeria???
We should Remember WHEN TRUST IS LOST, IT MAY NOT BE REGAINED. How do we expect to produce a president in this country with this kind of attitude. How do we expect people of other region to live, respect and trust us enough to vote for our candidate when we openky display high classic disdain towards them and then showing support for looters who have destroyed the country??? Let us think about this for our own good.
