The Federal Government on Monday Aug.1st. 2016 took a major step in its plan to revatilise the steel sector as it signed a renegotiated concession agreements with Global Steel Holdings Limited for Nigerian Iron Ore Mining Company (NIOMCO), Itakpe.
By the new agreement, the Ajaokuta Steel Complex has now reverted to the Federal Government, effectively freeing the entity from all contractual encumbrances that had left it uncompleted and non functional for decades, why GSHL retains NIOMCO.
With this, Nigeria will move from being just a Mineral nation to a mining nation.
The inability of GEJ government to resolve Ajaokuta Steel rolling legal issue in six years is what has been resolve with mittal within a year of PMB led government.
Time wasters keep excuses! Outcome oriented souls go all the way to bring about result. What has been done has to be done! We have to do what we have to do to resuscitate the economy towards import substitution and diversification.
