Less than 24 hours after he was declared winner and almost three months to his lnauguration, Donard Trump has reached out to James Dimon, chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase, to take up the office of Secretary of Treasury.
The Treasury department like our Ministry of Finance manages all US government revenues and expenses.
The first lesson:-. Sense of Urgency, hit the ground running and reach decisions fast, James Dimon, named into lnstitutional lnvestor's Best CEOs list in the All- America Executive Team Survey from 2008 through 2011, listed four times amongest Time Globally accepted as the best CEO of the biggest bank in America, is actually a global brand in lnternational Finance Management.
The Second Lesson:- Head hunt the best. The interesting thing is that James Dimon is a Democrat and has donated money to the Democratic party in the past, predicted a Hilary Clinton win a few weeks ago and had subtly mocked Donard Trump in a public event recently. Have a large heart to accommodate working with the best whether they supported your election or not.
Our Leaders must learn from this. We should stop politics with bitterness and always go for the best and not compensating political casualities. Yes America is 250 years old but if they are not use to this system from the beginning they would never have gotten it right.
It is time for Nigeria to have new set of Leaders who will take Nigeria to where she ought to be.
