Are judges liable to investigation and prosecution? The Answer is Yes. No one including the president is above the law.
Have our law enforcement agencies been following our laws in arrests and investigations, the answer is No. Why is it like that? Because our method of investigation of crimes here is archaic, barbaric and satanic.
With poor people it is worse; they apply pin atimes on anus and penis on the accused in order to obtain 'Confessional Statements'.
Have we condemned this methods! Yes, several times in print and electronic media. The world has moved on, advanced countries use technology in investigating and unearthing crimes but here we apply crude and barbaric methods to investigate crimes.
Our law enforcement agents must use our laws for both poor and rich and not for the rich only which is why we disagree with some people who always mouth rule of law when it involves rich people only and not the poor too.
Rule of law should apply to all persons irrespective of status, class, or creed. Our lack of technology, haste and lack of professionalism by the Security Agencies make their actions appear unlawful, awful, and atimes condemnable.
Lawyers and judges should support the fight against corruption, because its success is crucial to the development of our dear Nation.A new Nigeria must Emerge and everyone both the rich and the poor must be beneficiaries.
