The Yoruba and Nupe ethnic groups are interesting Nigerians. Yorubas and Nupes tolerate and accommodate the religion beliefs of their kinsmen be it Sunni (Zijj aniyya, Qadiriyya, Izala sects). Shi'a animist, traditionalist etc.
One can hardly witness or read religious crisis coming from them let alone sectarian violence and killings of ethnic members in the ties of kinship and brotherhood which ensured harmonious relationships.
But in the core North, in a span of four decades, intolerance of opposing religions/sectarian beliefs and ideologies among the Hausa and Kanuri has destroyed the peaceful co-existence among tribesmen and their neighbours resulting in frequently monstrous orgy of violence and blood baths.
Violent religious principles have crept its sinister tentacles around those two society, through the activities of Nigerian and Foreign clerics, jihadist and fundamentalists who propagate HATE!, and had succeed in destroying the fabrics of a once peaceful society and removed the traces of the milk of human kindness, that once flow throw its veins.
