Two days ago, one was privileged to watch a media organized debate for the forthcoming Ondo State governorship election, which had the presence of just 3 out of about 28 candidates.
In action at the debate were chief Olusola Oke of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Dr Olu Agunloye of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Mr Jimoh Ibrahim of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
The debate was quite interesting as the candidates showed that they have a grasp of what it takes to govern the state with enunciation of their programmed and response to questions, though one of the contestant, in our candid opinion was more comical than factual with his comments, but we are sure that the electorates of Ondo state are very informed, intelligent, dynamic and sound intellectual to make the right choice at the poll on Saturday 26th November, 2016.
What really happened to the other contestants? Ondo governorship election is to be contested by about 28 Political Parties.
Were these parties and their Candidates not consulted and invited to the debate to avail the electorates of their programmed also through this medium?
The people of Ondo state have a date with history come Saturday 26th November, 2016 and here's wishing them a peaceful and credible election.
RPI............Rethink, Rebirth, Rebuild.
