The word NATION has been defined by most academic schools of thought and social scientist in many ways. The Congruence in the various defination lies in the fact that a nation is not just a geographical locus somewhere in the globe, a nation is not an unpremeditated or transitory conglomeration, but a stable community of people living together generation after generation.
According to J.V Stalin, 1993, in his article: Marxism and the National Question, it is a historically consituted stable community of people formed on a basis of a common purpose, territory, economic life, and psychological make-up manifested in a common philosophy.
Nigeria is not the only nation in the world with people of different tribes and toughs. The French nation was formed from Gauls, Romans, Britons, Teutons, and so on. The same applies to the British, the Germans and others, who were formed into nations from people of diverse races and tribes.
Irrespective of the way and manner our colonial masters might have crafted into existence our great nation Nigeria, the divine intent and purpose for this nation is clear even to the blind. Our nation is a WORLD SUPER POWER in the making, if we can get it right and we can tell why! The WILL power to accomplish that divine mandate is locked in the YOUTH of Nigeria.
Like every living thing in nature, nations grow. While mortals die, nations don't die - nations only transform, like female creatures have a womb with the capacity to give birth. Likewise the womb of a nation is the YOUTH.
