NIGERIA AT 56

Congratulations to the people of Nigeria as our dear Nation and Country clocks 56 today.  But so sad that Nigeria that was born five decades and 6 years  today are still not getting it right.

We need not outline those many things we didn't get right because they are so obvious, even the blind can see them, the deaf also heard of it daily.  Interestingly, we are very good at complaining in our Country.

Everyone knows what is wrong with our Country, leaders and every face of the economy.  Unfortunately, none of these complaints and talk has yielded meaningful results, if any at all.  We have complained and nothing has happened.  Isn't it high time we stopped complaining and find a bettef alternative?

It is high time we stopped just talking and start doing.  Truth is, talk is cheap.  We've been talking and doing nothing.  Do we Remember the famous statement  by John F. Kennedy " My fellow Americans, ask not what your Country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your Country.

The key word there for us is  Do.  Le's start by asking " what can l do to make Nigeria better"?  In what way(s) can l contribute to building a new and better Nigeria? " believe the least we can do is to start living by the right sets of values and challenge others to do same.  Let's be the change we want to see.

"We should stop the disregard for traffic light".

" We should stop jumping the queue".

" We should stop giving and taking bribes".

" We should stop cheating and start being honest.

" We should henceforth stand for what's right".

" We should obey traffic rules".

" We must start accounting for the funds in iuyr care".

" We should start doing the right thing".

" We should influence others to do the right thing".

" We should begin to say the change we desire.  A New Nigeria is possible and it begins by DOING THE RIGHT THING.

God  will continue to bless Nigeria.
