"If the foundation be destroyed/faulty what can the righteous/good people do? We have listened to the view that what Nigeria needs, is the restructuring of the mind and not the super structure, but nothing can be farther from the TRUTH.
How can we preach morality when we live a lie? The constitution calls Nigeria a Federal Republic but we run basically a Unitary System. Before we restructure the minds may we first be true to what we say on paper?
Our Unitary Cum pseudo federalism is the first corruption to be dismantled. A prostitute lacks the moral nexus to demand piety of her daughter.
Nigerian structure is not only a lie, it kills creativity. It is so warped that a million Angels cannot make it productive. it is corrupt, corruptive and corruptible, indeed the first war against corruption should be restructuring.
No nation in the world operates a meddlesome and unwidely centre like Ours. In Lee Kwan Yew's Singapore, and even in Communist China there is devolution of power, and resources are controlled in China by the people (the productive sector) and in Singapore by the Constituents.
Here the Federal Govt is a behemoth and a Santa Claus that dishes monthly handouts to the States and the Local Govts, and some defend this abnormality.
To those who think that the North is opposed to restructuring because should it happen, they will go broke, are wrong.
First, the Land mass of the North is almost thrice that of the entire South, apart from Human Resources, farming and the business of Agriculture is priceless.
Secondly, the untapped Mineral wealth of the North is of greater value than oil.
The third blows our mind and deepens the call for restructuring. Nassarawa state grapples with workers salary but has over 34 mineral resources, Kaduna over 30, Plateau over 28 yet our nation is poor.
WHY?
RPI.....Rethink, Rebirth, Rebuild.
